Our accommodations are equipped for cats and dogs under 50 pounds who are patients of the hospital. Each pet has his/her own ample indoor space complete with soft blankets and/or towels.

Our guests enjoy plenty of time to stretch and exercise throughout the day. Dogs have use of our fenced-in yard, four to five times daily. Cats can play with various cat toys and individually explore the enclosed feline boarding area.

Rau Animal Hospital proudly utilizes Fear Free techniques for all of our canine and feline friends. We are also a certified Cat Friendly Practice. The goal of these initiatives is one that we take seriously, to reduce fear, anxiety and stress in our patients and boarding guests.  We regularly monitor all pets and will need to contact you during their stay if any fear, anxiety and/or stress has been noticed by one of our caring team members.

Depending on your pet's emotional needs, boarding may not always be an appropriate option. We've found that communication between Rau staff members and pet owners is key to your pet's physical and emotional well-being.

Required Vaccinations:

Dogs - Rabies, DHPP, Canine Influenza, Leptosporosis, Bordatella
